Description

Stream braids with different stories converge in the glacial out wash plain below Telaquana Mountain before running out into Turquoise Lake. The clear braid on the right seems to have come more or less straight from the surrounding mountains. The cloudy one on the left originates from the (unseen) glaciers that terminate in the valleys in between. It's light turquoise color is because of glacial flour fine particles of glacier-ground bedrock that stay suspended in the water.
